The TPAF retirement picture

Your pension is the foundation—not the entire plan.

TPAF membership tiers, retirement estimates and pension payment options can shape the income you receive. Your other accounts, Social Security and household priorities help determine how that income needs to work.

  1. 01

    Your TPAF foundation

Organize your membership tier, credited service, MBOS estimate and expected retirement date before evaluating the rest of the plan.

  2. 02

    Your payment decision

Understand why the pension payment option you select can affect both your income and the protection available to a survivor.

  3. 03

    Your supplemental accounts

Review how a 403(b), 457(b), IRA, Roth IRA or former-employer account may support flexibility and income beyond the pension.

  4. 04

    Your complete income picture

Place TPAF alongside Social Security, savings, household needs and the years in which income or expenses may change.

A report you can understand

See how the pieces may work across the years ahead.

Your Genesis Blueprint organizes pension income, Social Security and retirement accounts visually so your second meeting can focus on the decisions and questions that matter.

Fictional client example for illustration only. The report is educational—not an official TPAF calculation, recommendation or guarantee.

Do you have a recent retirement estimate from MBOS?
Do you currently have a 403(b)?

Common questions

Begin with clarity—not paperwork.

What should I have available for the first call?

A recent MBOS retirement estimate, an approximate TPAF service-credit total, recent retirement-account statements and your expected retirement date are helpful. You can still begin if you do not have everything yet.

Does FortiGuard calculate my official TPAF benefit?

No. Official benefit estimates, membership information, eligibility and payment options must come from the New Jersey Division of Pensions & Benefits through MBOS or other official NJDPB resources. We help organize that information inside your broader retirement picture.

Do I need to move my 403(b) or another account?

No. The review does not require a rollover, transfer or product purchase. If an account deserves further review, the available choices should be compared before any decision is made.

What does the review cost?

The intake call, Blueprint presentation and personalized report are complimentary. All meetings are held privately through Google Meet.

FortiGuard Financial is not affiliated with or endorsed by the New Jersey Division of Pensions & Benefits, TPAF or any government agency. Official pension estimates, membership information, eligibility, payment options and plan rules must be obtained from NJDPB through MBOS or other official resources. The review and Blueprint are educational and do not require a rollover, transfer or product purchase.
